Microsoft have created a number of versions of Windows over the years.
Each new version has introduced improvements and changes compared to previous versions. These along with changes to hardware have required us to revise our SuperView program along side its own continued development.
SuperView 25-Rplus works on Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows 7
Windows 8. is no longer tested but should be OK.
Older versions- please see the specific Windows pages
We do not support running SuperView versions that are older than the version of Windows they are running on (see Windows 10 pages for specific info).
Many versions of Windows are now considered obsolete by Microsoft and others and we do not have a current program that works on them.
These include Windows 98, Me and 95 and Windows 2000 as well as the very old Windows 3 and 3.1 amongst others.
More recent versions such as XP and Vista are also classified as obsolete by Microsoft.
Microsoft has created various special versions of Windows over the years but these are usually based on one of the main versions.
Usually they have extra features but can be used in a similar way to the main version that they are based on. However there are some that are cut-down or restricted versions (eg. Starter) and others that although similarly named are quite distinct eg Windows 8 RT and Windows 10 ARM. Similarly there has been a range of phone based Windows systems. Please view the specific Windows pages (top of page) and email us if you are not sure.
