Running the Program
In general you should have no problems but if you do simply contact us and we will help.
Most of the following apply to any of the SuperView family of products.
Simply hover the mouse over or tap the relevant question
- Getting Help There are interactive tutorials as part of the demo but they are also accessible from the Help Menu within SuperView.
- Blank or distorted 3D picture Try running the program in non-accelerated mode. It may also be worth checking the hardware manufacturer's web site for updated OpenGL drivers for the graphics chip. Changing the screen resolution can require the exact mode to be reset.
- System Error message - when launching the program This is some sort of dongle/license problem
Even if the system lets you continue do not ignore this problem but contact your supplier.
Please have available the dongle number and the error number dispalyed in the title bar.
This second number will help us quickly identify the problem - It was OK "last time" It is worth closing down the system and starting again (NOT uninstalling the program).
Also try a previous design
If you are getting a system error see that question.
Updating a graphics driver can require the graphics mode within SuperView to be reset.
Sometimes installing other software can cause problems, especially if display settings are changed. - Cant save a design or picture Some anti-ransomware software prevents programs saving to various folders
Try adding SuperView to the Allowed Applications List
- for details see the anti-ransomware publishers website.
if this is not the cause contact us - Emailing from the program does not work The program requires MAPI to talk to your email program (not browser mail) - consider using Microsoft's LiveMail if your system does not support MAPI or is a version of browser mail (ie if you have to go onto the Internet first) (Not Silver versions)
- Swapping Customer Files between machines The latest versions of the design program have a transfer option to facilitate moving a customers design information from one machine to another. For example from the 'office' machine to a 'notebook' (Not Silver versions)
- VAT rate changes Dec08-Jan10 and Jan2011 Please see the seperate information
- Versions We continuously update our software. The first two parts of the version number indicate the major and minor version (e.g. 5.1.x.x) whilst the 3rd and 4th are (minor) updates.
